Al-Fajr was born in 2006 when a group of students of Sheikh Mansour Leghaei at the Imam Husain Islamic Centre in Sydney, Australia, wished to share their own notes of Sheikhs lectures with each other. The invaluable content Sheikh was sharing was too valuable to remain in the hands of a few. Starting out as a forthnightly newsletter style magazine, Al-Fajr grew to continually educate the community. With more people on the team, Al-Fajr was able to cover community activities in Sydney with the famous ‘Centre Profiles’ which aimed to unite the communities.
In 2013, Al-Fajr was rested due to unforeseen circumstances and was relaunched on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah 1439 (Aug 2018) in an online format to keep up with the consuming patterns of the community. We hope that you will find the powerful messages to help you live a more spiritual and social life under the umbrella of Islam here.
The online magazine is made possible through the Imam Husain Islamic Centre and any support towards the work of the centre is welcome.
We welcome and comments and criticisms for the work and are always looking for new members to join the team so please do not hesitate to contact us.
